Their hard work and commitment have been instrumental in bringing this project to life. The hull will now depart the yard to proceed into the next phase of construction. She will leave soon to our facility in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, where outfitting is about to start.

The team at Damen Yachting is pleased to announce the redelivery and departure of the Amels Refit MOONSTONE. The now 79.2 metre superyacht, originally named ALBATROSS and built by Delta Marine, has now departed the Vlissingen City yard following her extensive Amels refit including extension ahead of her private itinerary this summer with her Owners. 


COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION  


MOONSTONE’s refit has involved a complete exterior and interior transformation in collaboration with London-based Design Studio Harrison Eidsgaard [https://he.design/] over the last 26 months, including changes to the transom and interior layout amendments. Amongst the many changes, including a 7-metre extension and repaint, a number of new features have been added. The Sun Deck has been transformed into a vibrant social space with a stylish bar and a winter garden has been added on Bridge Deck creating new space for dining entertainment and relaxation. The Owners Deck now features a jacuzzi and a swimming pool has been added on Main Deck. The Lower Deck now has an expansive swim platform, providing easy access to the water for swimming, water sports, or lounging by the sea.

Vlissingen, April 29, 2025 Following the recent launch of the Amels Refit ALBATROSS, the yacht's new name has now been unveiled. 

Following the recent launch of the Amels Refit ALBATROSS, the yacht's new name has now been unveiled. During a private naming ceremony, which took place at the main Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen City, the newly-extended and significantly refitted yacht was christened MOONSTONE.

The now 79.2-metre MOONSTONE, originally built by Delta Marine and refitted by Amels, has undergone a complete exterior and interior transformation in collaboration with London-based Design Studio Harrison Eidsgaard over the last 26 months. Now in the final stages of her time at Damen Yachting, she is undergoing sea trials and commissioning. On Tuesday April 29, Amels Refit MOONSTONE passed through the one lock out onto open water for her first official sea trial post refit works.

Our 80-metre Amels Limited Editions design excelled in the Superyachts 60-80 metres category at the prestigious Asian yachting award ceremony. The awards were held on the final evening of the SEA Yachting Conference and on the eve of the Singapore Yachting Festival and celebrated the very best of the superyacht industry in Asia.

Attending on behalf of Damen Yachting, Marketing Manager Sarah Flavell accepted this prestigious award.'
